Villa Gréta Sweets Shop

The sweets shop, which previously operated in Siófok and then in Kőröshegy, reopened in Zamárdi in April 2025. The atmosphere of the small place on Rákóczi Street is paired with the "dolce vita" , with the lightness of Lake Balaton, and the counter is lined with locally made pastries and iconic cakes (such as Viennese cream cake, Sacher, Dobos, profiteroles). In the summer of 2025, Magyar Konyha magazine ranked it among the 10 best pastry shops in its gastronomic guide to Lake Balaton.

The selection includes specialty coffees, ice cream made on site, seasonal breakfast options, macaron boxes, and, during the holiday season, "bejgli" (walnut/poppy seed filled traditional Hungarian rolled pastry) and cake/sweets shop orders. Dogs are also welcome, and opening hours may vary, so it is worth checking before you go. They communicate regularly on their social media pages, where you can also admire their mouthwatering delicacies in pictures.

Villa Gréta Sweets Shop is located in the center of Zamárdi, on Rákóczi Street, a few minutes' walk from the train station. Parking is available in the nearby streets.
