Modern lookout tower on Gulya Hill, offering stunning panoramic views of Veszprém.

Queen Gizella's lookout tower rises in the middle of the Gulya Hill park forest. At 22 meters high, it is one of the most impressive lookout points in Veszprém. The unique parabolic hyperboloid steel structure was built in 2015 after the previous wooden lookout tower had to be demolished. From the top level, 17.5 meters above the ground, there is an unparalleled view of Benedek Hill, Veszprém Castle, Szent István Valley, and the Bakony Hills, including Papod and Csatár Hills. Rest areas and fire pits have also been set up in the vicinity of the lookout tower, making it an ideal destination for hikers, families, and nature lovers. It can be reached on foot from Betekints Valley, by bike on the dirt road, or by car from the parking lot on the south side.
