Tótvázsony
Introduction
Tótvázsony lies at the foot of the Bakony Hills, at the gateway to the Balaton Uplands, with a rich historical past and living traditions. The cultural life of the settlement is characterized by the Cristkindl play, which has its roots in Swabian traditions, and the colorful performances of the Pirger-parade on Corpus Christi Day, while folk songs and the local nativity tradition of "komatál" strengthen community cohesion. In addition to the natural beauty of the area, the Reformed and Catholic churches and the grave of famous outlaw Jóska Savanyó are special attractions.
Accessibility
Tóvázsony is located next to Route 77, between Veszprém and Nagyvázsony. It can also be reached from Balatonfüred, Pécsely, and Barnag via the Balaton Uplands side roads. Most of the buses serving the inner town area depart from Veszprém, Balatonfüred, and Nagyvázsony, but the "Tótvázsony elágazás" stop, which is about 15 minutes from the center of the village, also serves long-distance routes.
