It is hard to imagine that in the heart of the city center there were once two synagogues, the large synagogue of the Neologic community and the small or winter synagogue of the Orthodox community. The neoclassical small synagogue was demolished when the city center was redeveloped, but we still walk past the romantic-style large synagogue every day, along Hoffer Ármin promenade. The hidden synagogue is none other than the office building known as the Mining Trust headquarters.
