Introduction
Sóly lies at the junction of the Bakony and the Balaton Uplands, and its historical significance is due to the battle between Saint Stephen and Koppány, as well as Hungary's oldest village church. The cultural heritage of the settlement is enriched by the medieval church, the Roman stone bridges, and the ruins of the Cistercian paper mill. The tradition of viticulture and the Hungarian record-breaking size St. Stephen's sword offer a special spectacle.
