Regional Museum Collection and Accommodation

The Regional Museum Collection and Accommodation is located in the center of Balatonakali, in an 18th-century folk monument, which presents the traditional lifestyle and architectural heritage of the Balaton Uplands. The exhibitions include attic and cellar displays, a home history exhibition, and old postcards and objects.

What makes this place special is that visitors can not only view the historical environment, but also stay there: from camping to the "Stable Apartment" and "Barn Apartment" to the attic rooms, a variety of accommodations are available. The communal space created from the barn can also be used for conferences, exhibitions, or as guest rooms. The aim of the collection is to strengthen regional identity and to present traditions in a realistic way.

The collection is located in the center of Balatonakali, at 36 Kossuth Lajos Street. A secure parking lot is available for visitors arriving by car. The site is easily accessible from Highway 71 and the Balaton railway line. The site can be visited all year round, but prior arrangement is recommended.
