The facility is the "sporting pride" of the district, but its function is much broader than that:

  • Sports: This is where the PLER-Budapest men's handball team holds its training sessions and matches, but it also regularly hosts combat sports galas (such as the Spartan Cup), dance competitions, and school sports days.

  • Culture and entertainment: Thanks to its excellent acoustics and technical equipment, it hosts large concerts (e.g., Retro Kastély festivals), theater performances, balls, and proms.
