Örvényesvölgy Festival was launched for the first time in 2023, thanks to the support of the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) programme, in a stunning natural setting on the edge of a forest in a small village with a population of 1,000, in the valley of the Örvényes stream.
In 2023, performers included Candy Dulfer, Gipsy Kings by Diego Balliardo, Kevin Davy White and Deladap. In 2024, Matteo Bocelli, Morris Madrone, Giacomo Turra and Steffen Morrison are set to perform.
In addition to musical concerts, the audience enjoyed various children's programmes, literary events, guided walking and e-bike tours over two weekends in 2023 and for three days in 2024.
