Old Times Courtyard Open-Air Museum and Restaurant

Old Times Courtyard Open-Air Museum and Restaurant is located in the heart of Tihany, at 3 Batthyány Street, offering a unique gastronomic experience that takes you back to the old world of peasant life. In the courtyard, which evokes the atmosphere of an open-air museum, food prepared in an oven – such as homemade sausages, lamb patties, and ragouts – and traditional dishes served on clay and wooden plates await guests. Local wines, homemade cheese, fresh juices, and brandies are complemented by live gypsy music on weekends, making for an authentic experience.

The restaurant is located in the center of Tihany, at 3 Batthyány Street, a short walk from the main street. For those arriving by car, there is free parking available approximately 100 meters away. The venue is located just a few meters from the local bus stop, making it easily accessible by public transport. The charming open-air museum courtyard has been made barrier-free, so it can be easily visited with strollers and wheelchairs.
