Introduction

Nemesvámos is located along the Via Magna (Veszprém–Tapolca), approx. 12 km from Lake Balaton; its Roman-era ruins – Villa Romana Balàca and the burial mound – offer visitors a unique journey through time. Patak Park, with its reconstructed Roman spring and outdoor facilities (walking paths, sports fields, public functions), provide active, family-friendly leisure opportunities. The cultural and gastronomic offerings are enhanced by the Vámosi Lentil & Sausage Festival, the village day, and the harvest parade, while equestrian traditions and programs are an important part of the character of the settlement. The defining features of the village are the Baroque Reformed church and the Roman Catholic church in the Zopf (Classicizing Baroque) style.

It can be reached by car from Route 77, and Route 73 via Veszprémfajsz. There are public transport buses, primarily from Veszprém and the surrounding settlements. It can also be reached by bike from Veszprém; the network connects to Tótvázsony, and then, with traffic markings, to Barnag-Nagyvázsony.
