Mill Gate Cultural and Visitor Centre

The building of the Mill Gate in Tés is a permanent infrastructural development of the European Capital of Culture 2023 programme, for which the municipality won 90 million HUF in an ECoC bid. This had to cover not only the purchase of the property, but also its renovation. The exterior of the building has been partially renovated, while the interior has been completely renewed: a spacious, inviting event space, modern lavatories and a kitchen are now available for visitors. Further interior and exterior improvements (roof replacement, ceiling insulation, courtyard landscaping) are also planned.
