Map Wanderer project

With the Map Wanderer, we are trying to implement the new approach to urban history that has been present in international and Hungarian professional circles for years, and its novel, digital form of presentation in the framework of Veszprém.The online application called Map of Veszprém is a delight and a wealth of information for tourists visiting the city and for those interested in the history of Veszprém's houses and families. The programme, developed by the Veszprém County Archives of the Hungarian National Archives, uses contemporary maps, plans, documents and photos to present the history of the houses and the families living in them in 3 time sections, showing the lives of 5 generations from the 1840s to the present day, bringing to life historical monuments and buildings.
