László Papp Budapest Sports Arena
The Papp László Budapest Sports Arena is located in Budapest's 14th district, on Stefánia Road, right next to the Puskás Arena. It is one of the largest and most modern indoor event venues in the country, welcoming more than half a million visitors annually. The predecessor of the Arena was the Budapest Sports Hall, which opened in 1982 but was destroyed in a tragic fire in December 1999. Construction of the new facility began in 2001, and it opened its doors on March 13, 2003.
