Landscape Art Trail (Kapolcs)
The theme of the 2023 Land Art Trail project is 'BRIDGE'. The areas around the bridges along the Eger stream become stopping points, with the 'BRIDGE'-inspired creations serving as temporary exhibition spaces. The project takes the form of a workshop similar to an artist residency. Its goal is to bring the value of local nature closer to people and offer a broader perspective where new associations, emotions and thoughts can emerge. By involving local creative artists and experts, art becomes the shared language.
It is not about sculptures placed in the landscape, but specifically about installations dreamed up for this location. Most of the created works are designed to be enduring, with the artists also considering the aging of the installations and their reintegration into nature. The quality of the works is guaranteed by the invited artists, just as in a prestigious museum.
In 2023, the participating artists included Péter Balázs, Andor Becskei, Éva Freund, Boldizsár Kő, Milán Kövics, Kunszt Collective, Borbála Szanyi, Nóra Szirmai, Éva Szurdi, Eszter Tóth, Tamás Tóth and Villő Turcsány.
In 2024, the Land Art Trail was expanded with two works titled "Intermediate Stop 1, 2," created by graduating nature art students from Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger (installed in Kapolcs and Vigántpetend).
The program can be continued and enriched.
