Krúdy Gyula Town Library
Introduction
The Krúdy Gyula Town Library is the center of cultural life in Várpalota, and the largest public library in the town and the surrounding area. Its mission is to provide access to Hungarian and universal cultural values, to support self-education, citizen awareness, and the acquisition of public information. The library's collection consists of approximately 75,000 volumes, including classical and contemporary literature, scientific works, periodicals, and audiovisual materials are available. Among its services are book and periodical lending, CD/DVD and audiobook lending, internet access, printing, scanning, laminating, and library card loans. The library is a member of the Digital Wellbeing Program Points network, so it also offers modern IT services. In addition, it regularly organizes literary evenings, exhibitions, children's activities, and community programs, which contribute to the enrichment of the city's cultural life.
Location & Accessibility
The library is located in Várpalota, at 28 Szent István Street. It is easily accessible on foot and by car from the town center. There is free parking available nearby, and the nearest bus stop is located directly in front of the library.
