Kőkút Garden Restaurant
Introduction
The Kőkút Garden Restaurant is located in the heart of Kékkút, in the picturesque Káli Basin, where the proximity of nature and local traditions create a special atmosphere. The restaurant was born from an old, multifunctional building previously a pub, shop, and community space—which the owners, Andi and Gyuri, lovingly renovated to create a family-friendly, cozy restaurant.
The menu follows Hungarian culinary traditions, using locally sourced ingredients and will be expanded in the future to include vegetables and meat from their own farm. The name of the restaurant refers to the historical heritage of the area: the name "Kőkút" can be traced back to a sour spring used by the Romans, which was the favorite drink of Byzantine Empress Theodora.
