Kékajtó Winery and Vineyard
Introduction
Kékajtó (Blue Door) is a family winery located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in the Balatonboglár wine region, in Kőröshegy. The philosophy of the estate is based on sustainable cultivation and the "miracle of the grape": a lot of work in the vineyards and minimal intervention in the cellar.
Their vineyards are located exclusively in the vicinity of the Kőröshegy Viaduct. From the Borochegy, Öreghegy, and "Pap útja" vineyards Italian Riesling, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Merlot, and Chardonnay are sent for processing, while plans are underway to introduce new varieties according to the characteristic of the wine region.
The visit is an experience-based one: the hosts offer a personal, meaningful program with presentations on everyday life, plantations, and wine tasting, offering local producers' products as wine snacks alongside their own wines.
Location & Accessibility
Their central cellar is located on the western edge of Kőröshegy, on Öreghegy, in Árnyas köz. Parking is available on site. The venue is about a 20-25 minute walk from the central bus stop ("Kozma tér").
During the season, opening hours are generally limited to Fridays and Saturdays. Information about their availability is provided on their social media pages and website. Visits can be arranged outside these times by email or phone. Orders can be placed at any time via their webshop.
