Introduction

House of Arts Veszprém has been operating as a contemporary art center since 1993, in the heart of Veszprém's Baroque castle district. It welcomes visitors of all ages in eight historic buildings. The place functions as an artistic and intellectual center, and is also a tourist attraction. House of Arts Veszprém is located in the vicinity of the Castle Gate and the Fire Watchtower, where the spirit of the place and the Baroque surroundings have an inspiring effect on artists, visitors, and staff alike.

Our goal is to present the latest trends in art in Veszprém, with a conscious focus on quality, scale, and quality, while keeping the three elements in mind.

At all venues, we undertake to showcase the works of contemporary artists throughout the year, and we organize the Veszprém Spring Exhibition every two years. Visitors to our galleries can also view collection exhibitions every year. When our institution was founded, the Municipal Fine Arts Artists' Circle was already in operation, which in 1999 took on the name WIM, Veszprémi Vizuális Műhely (Veszprém Visual Workshop) in 1999.
