Hangár Popular Music Center is being launched as part of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture program's SoundPlay project. The mission of SoundPlay, and Hangár in particular, is to ensure that Veszprém and its surroundings have the highest number of people making music in Hungary, in line with the title of City of Music awarded by UNESCO in 2019.
