Introduction

Farkasgyepű has one of the freshest air in the Bakony Hills, where nature lovers are welcomed by oak, beech, and pine forests. The subalpine climate, abundant springs, and rich wildlife made the area a popular place to stay even during the time of King Matthias. Csurgókút waterfall and the surroundings of Lake Pisztrágos offer a unique hiking experience, while the more than 100-year-old stone church and the School Museum preserve the historical heritage of the settlement. The Bakony Wildlife exhibition provides an insight into the wildlife management and natural values of the area.
