Introduction

Dabronc is located in the Sümeg district and is a settlement with a rich historical heritage. The first written mention of it dates back to 1198, when it was owned by the Türje clan. The village's Neo-Gothic church was built between 1913 and 1917 with the support of emigrants to America, and its organ was made by József Ingester's Sons in Pécs. The settlement is connected to Ötvös puszta, the model farm and mansion of the Szegedy family, as well as the Széchenyi palace and the Baroque church decorated with Dorfmeister frescoes. Róza Szegedy, Sándor Kisfaludy's muse, also lived here.
