Cholnoky heritage preservation programme

The aim of this gap-filling project, supported by VEB 2023, is to present the Cholnoky family's literary heritage - currently little known to the wider public, but already partially researched in literary history - and their significant and diverse activities. We plan to work on and present the topic with the help of renowned Hungarian experts, within the framework of a research and educational programme (creation of teaching aids, geotours, art education sessions, workshops) that will also activate the literary-artistic scene.
Book launches (3 volumes - 6 sessions)
Presentation of three Cholnoky volumes, in Veszprém, Balatonfüred and Alsóörs.
In addition to audiences with a specific interest in local history and literature, which were the main target group of the programme, we also targeted non-special interest audiences in the local and regional areas. In particular, we focused on secondary school and university students.
Viktor Cholnoky: The Vestryman
László Cholnoky: Black Wings
Jenő Cholnoky: Veszprém - Lake Balaton
The geotours, which were based on the material of the volumes, took place on 2 occasions in Veszprém in the framework of the Days of Silence.
