Café of the Wise

The world is changing, including us as people. Along our successive stages of life, retirement opens up a new, hitherto unknown stage in the passage of time. In many cases, we look forward with ambivalence to the day when we will be "liberated" from the weight of workplace expectations.  

We can do what we want, what we didn't have time to do before. Then the years go by... There are fewer tasks around the family, the grandchildren, the energy is waning and we find that taking stock of our losses is becoming a painful pastime. More and more often we notice that there are fewer opportunities, no desire to go out, no place to go, no one to go with. 

The aim of the Café of the Wise is to inform as many people as possible, especially those close to retirement age and beyond, about their personal responsibility for a positive future and their opportunities for a happy, contented and active old age.
