Introduction

The Batthyány Heritage Center and Theater Hall is one of the most prominent venues in the cultural life of Kőrend, located in the vicinity of the historic Batthyány Castle, at 5 Dr. Batthyány-Strattmann László Street. The building functions as a multifunctional cultural space: it hosts theater performances, concerts, exhibitions, conferences, community events, and festive occasions.The Batthyány Theater underwent a complete renovation in 2016: the auditorium, the stage, and the technical equipment, so that today the venue welcomes visitors in a modern setting. The theater hall can accommodate 348 people and is equipped with modern technical equipment, dressing rooms, and service areas.

The gallery of the Heritage Center is a popular venue for smaller exhibitions, discussions, and workshops. The auditorium is also ideal for receptions, standing receptions, and lectures. The center aims to preserve the legacy of the Batthyány family in a dignified manner and to play an active role in the cultural and community life of Körmend.

TICKET OFFICE&: The ticket office is open at the same time as the heritage center, during the opening hours of the Dr. Batthyány-Strattmann Museum.

Tickets purchased at the Heritage Center are valid for the Batthyány Castle grounds.is valid for viewing all exhibitions on the grounds of Batthyány Castle.

Accessibility

The Batthyány Heritage Center is located in the center of Kőrme, next to the castle park. It is easily accessible on foot from the main points of the town, about a 5-10 minute walk from the Main Square and the bus station. For those arriving by car, parking is available in the surrounding streets and next to the castle park. The location is well signposted, the building is wheelchair accessible, and the theater and public spaces are accessible by wheelchair and stroller.
