Bánd

Bánd lies in the heart of the Bakony Hills, its central landmark being the ruins of Essegvár Castle, which towers above the village. Essegvár, a medieval fortress that has been rebuilt several times. Today, the eastern square tower and sections of the wall are visible. The cultural life of the settlement is vibrant: traditional programs (a parade, a village day, #VÁR Festival) and community initiatives give substance to the year. The area's cycling and family developments (playground, stage, visitor center) turn the Essegvár area into a complex tourist destination.

Bánd can be reached along Main Route 8, about 10 km from Veszprém; the designated parking lot is located next to the cemetery. It can also be reached by bus, mainly from Veszprém and neighboring settlements.
