Introduction

Auer House on Thököly Imre Street is not only part of Veszprém's cultural heritage, but also the birthplace of world-renowned violinist Lipót (a.k.a. Leopold) Auer. The building was renovated as part of the European Capital of Culture program, and today it functions as an artists' residence and community space. Visitors can learn about violin making in the workshop of master instrument maker Elemér Sümegi, while the courtyard, with its open-air stage, hosts cultural events.

Location & Accessibility

The house is located in the center of Veszprém, a few steps to the right from Szabadság Square in the direction of Buhim Street. Parking is available in the nearby Bagolyvári parking garage and the surrounding area. If arriving by public transport, it is a 10-minute walk from the bus station.
