Community smart bench, Keszthely

The multifunctional smart bench is the key element of the project. It significantly improves the waiting conditions for users of the intermodal transport hub. It expands spaces for rest and social interaction while providing essential services. In addition, it offers useful, online-accessible information and cultural content, which can be beneficial for both locals and visitors. It helps people of various age groups spend their free time in a meaningful way. The bench also organises and expands the current and educational information available about the city in various locations.
As part of the project, the existing fence elements will be reused, and the fence will be relocated. One benefit of this is that the green space will become more accessible to the community. Another important impact is the widening of the area along the coach station, where the narrow pavement can create dangerous traffic situations. This will relieve the crowded areas, improving pedestrian safety.
